Interclub league selection and match-day logistics

SRTC enters eight teams into the county interclub leagues: three men's, three ladies' and two mixed.

Selection

Captains pick teams for each fixture. Selection is based on:

  • Current internal ladder standing
  • Availability submitted on the portal by the Wednesday before the fixture
  • Recent match results and form
  • Squad rotation - captains aim to give every squad member regular play across a season

If you want to be considered, join a squad through Competitions > Interclub and keep your availability up to date. Availability is by far the most common reason a player is not selected.

Before match day

  • Captains confirm the team by Thursday evening.
  • Home fixtures: the club reserves the courts. Do not book them yourself.
  • Away fixtures: arrange travel within the team. The club contributes 20 per car towards fuel for fixtures over 30km; claim through the Membership & Billing queue.

On match day

  • Arrive 30 minutes before the start for a warm-up and to meet the opposition.
  • Wear club kit. Loan shirts are in the cupboard by the changing rooms.
  • Home teams provide new balls (from the store, ask the front desk) and refreshments after the match. The tea rota is on the noticeboard.
  • The home captain enters the result on the county system the same evening and posts it in the squad thread.

Match fees

League play costs 4 per fixture, charged to your monthly statement, which covers balls and refreshments.
