Court booking rules: limits, cancellations and no-shows

These rules exist so that court time is shared fairly across around 400 members and eight courts.

Limits

  • A maximum of three future bookings per member at any time.
  • A maximum of one peak slot per day (weekdays after 5pm, weekends before 1pm).
  • A court cannot be booked back to back by the same group to create a two-hour block in peak time.

Cancellations

Cancel from My bookings as soon as you know you cannot play. Cancellation is free up to four hours before the slot. Inside four hours the slot is recorded as a late cancellation.

No-shows and late cancellations

We check the courts at the top of each hour during busy periods.

SecondWarning, booking window cut to three days for two weeks
ThirdBooking suspended for 14 days

Late cancellations count as half a no-show. If you were ill or stuck in traffic, reply to the reminder email and we will usually clear it.

On court

  • Play in non-marking tennis shoes. Court 3 and 4 are artificial clay and are the most easily damaged.
  • Vacate promptly at the end of your slot, including collecting balls.
  • If a court is empty ten minutes into a booked slot, any member may take it. Report it so the no-show is recorded.
